Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: 23 September 2026
These Terms explain the conditions for using the Navigster User app, Navigster Driver app, institution dashboard, and website. They set out the responsibilities of users, institutions, and Workbees Technologies, including service limitations, paid features, and how to raise a concern.
1. Your agreement with Workbees
Navigster is the product brand of Workbees Technologies. “Workbees”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the legal operator identified in section 18. “Institution” means the institution or other organisation that authorises your transport access. “You” means the person using the service and, where an authorised representative accepts for an institution, that institution.
You accept these Terms by selecting the acceptance control shown during account activation or onboarding. Please read them before accepting. If you do not accept, do not activate or use an account. Visiting a public policy or support page does not require you to create an account or accept a paid plan.
The Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling. The Subscription Terms govern the specific purchase matters they describe. An institution agreement governs the institutional services and data-handling arrangements it expressly covers. These documents do not remove rights that applicable law protects.
2. Eligibility and authority
The person accepting these Terms must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering this agreement. For institution transport, the User app is intended for a parent or lawful guardian. An adult student may use an institution-authorised student account. Any permitted use by someone under 18 must be arranged through an appropriate parent or guardian process; we do not rely on the minor independently entering this agreement.
An institution representative must have authority to act for the institution. A driver must be authorised by that institution and meet the licensing and eligibility requirements for the vehicle and work involved. Creating a driver account or entering a licence number is not a Workbees certification of driving eligibility or vehicle safety.
3. Accounts and authorised access
Provide accurate information, use a mobile number you are authorised to use, and keep your details current. User activation normally requires mobile verification and an institution-issued code linked to the relevant student record. Check the institution and student shown before continuing; report an incorrect link instead of using it.
Keep OTPs, activation codes, passwords, and account access private. Do not share or transfer an account to another person. Notify us promptly through the support page if a device, number, or account may be compromised. You are responsible for your authorised use and for taking reasonable care of access credentials; you are not automatically responsible for every unauthorised action merely because it occurred through your account.
Access is limited to your assigned role, institution, and authorised student or route links. An institution can update or remove those links when transport arrangements or your role change. A subscription does not create a right to view a bus or student without institutional authorisation.
4. What Navigster provides
Navigster provides software for transport setup, trip operation, live bus visibility, arrival estimates, alerts, and available trip records. Workbees does not operate the buses, employ the institution's drivers, sell a bus seat, or take custody of children through this service. The institution and its transport operator arrange the actual transport.
Live visibility. Live bus information is associated with an active trip. It ends when the trip completes, breaks down, or is terminated. Separate route recording is initiated by an authorised driver for institutional review. An inactive trip or a saved route is not evidence of current bus movement.
Location and arrival estimates. GPS readings, map information, traffic estimates, and notification delivery can be delayed or unavailable. Check the displayed update time and GPS status. A stale position is the last available reading, not a fresh location. Arrival estimates and approach alerts are estimates, not guaranteed arrival times or instructions to cross a road.
Boarding status. Proximity-based boarding or drop status, and any user response to a prompt, are informational estimates. A nearby phone does not prove that a particular child boarded, left, or safely reached a destination. These features are not an attendance register and do not replace the institution's physical supervision and handover process.
Urgent situations. Contact the institution or appropriate emergency services directly when urgent help is needed. An app alert, breakdown report, or support message does not automatically call emergency services, arrange a replacement bus, or confirm that a responsible person has responded.
5. Responsibilities of parents and student users
Use only the student links you are authorised to access. Select a boarding point on the assigned route that has been agreed with the institution; placing a pin does not create a new stop or approve a safe waiting place. Ask the institution to resolve route, stop, or student-record errors.
Keep your boarding point and notification settings current. Approach alerts use the saved boarding point and selected radius, from 500 metres to 3 kilometres. Optional phone-location features support proximity estimates as described in the Privacy Policy. Device permissions, connectivity, and an eligible plan can affect available features.
Follow the institution's arrangements for supervision, waiting, boarding, and handover. Answer status prompts accurately when you choose to respond. Parents and student users cannot start, stop, edit, or override a trip through the User app.
6. Responsibilities of drivers
Use your own authorised account and scan the QR code attached to the bus you are actually operating. Confirm the bus, approved route, and direction before starting. Do not copy a QR code to simulate control of another bus, share driver access, create false GPS readings, or bypass operational restrictions.
Complete setup while safely parked. Do not handle the phone, scan a code, type, or respond to a prompt while driving. Mount and charge the device appropriately and follow road rules and the institution's safety instructions. App permissions and a compatible device with connectivity are needed to supply live information.
Start, end, and report trips accurately. Report a breakdown through the app when safe and contact the institution directly. A breakdown or terminated trip cannot be resumed as the same active trip; follow the institution's arrangements for any replacement journey. Recording a proposed route does not authorise using it for passenger service before institutional approval.
7. Responsibilities of institutions
The institution and its transport operator are responsible for transport planning, safe routes and stops, vehicle fitness, permits, insurance, driver qualifications and conduct, passenger supervision, and incident response. They must maintain a practical way to communicate and operate safely when app information is unavailable.
Authorised administrators must maintain accurate buses, drivers, routes, student records, and access permissions; review proposed routes; train staff; and remove access when it is no longer authorised. Permission levels differ: a monitoring role does not automatically carry an administrator's power to change configuration or suspend accounts.
The institution must have a lawful basis and authority to supply personal information, provide the required notices, and coordinate appropriate parental involvement or consent with Workbees. It must not use the dashboard for unrelated surveillance or disclose transport records to unauthorised people. Workbees remains responsible for its own processing and service obligations.
An institution must assess the effect of suspension before applying it during a journey and arrange direct communication where visibility will end. Administrative actions in the software do not physically stop a bus or discharge the duty to supervise passengers.
8. Institutional access and optional user plans
The current standard institution platform fee is ₹0. Standard dashboard and driver access are provided under the institution's onboarding arrangement. This does not pay for buses, fuel, drivers, phones, mobile data, or the institution's transport charges. Any additional professional service must be separately described and expressly agreed before a charge applies.
Optional paid User app plans provide the features described in the purchase screen. Before you pay, we show the full amount, billing period, included features, applicable taxes or charges, and whether renewal is automatic. A price expressed “per day” is a daily equivalent unless the purchase screen expressly says that billing occurs daily.
Eligible new user accounts receive a Pro introductory trial of 30 consecutive calendar days from first successful account activation, once per account. The app shows the trial end date. This introductory grant does not create a payment mandate and does not automatically charge you when it ends. Continued paid access requires you to select and authorise a plan.
If you separately choose an automatically renewing plan, its renewal price and frequency are shown before confirmation. A prepaid plan expires at the end of the purchased period unless renewed. We do not collect an undisclosed fee or treat acceptance of these general Terms as payment authorisation.
When a trial or plan ends, features requiring that entitlement become unavailable unless another valid entitlement applies. Account support and privacy-request routes remain available. Ending one user's plan does not stop the bus trip, cancel institutional transport, or remove other users' access.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You can manage a paid plan from Menu > Account > Manage subscription, which opens the relevant store or payment-provider controls. For an automatically renewing plan, cancel before the renewal time displayed by that provider. Unless applicable law or the purchase terms provide otherwise, cancellation stops the next renewal and paid access continues until the end of the current period. Navigster does not charge an additional cancellation fee.
Deleting the app, logging out, or deleting your Navigster account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by an app store. The account-deletion flow explains the separate cancellation step. You can request account deletion without waiting for the paid period to expire.
For a change of mind after paid access begins, a refund for unused time is not automatic; the disclosed purchase terms, provider rules, and applicable law determine eligibility. This does not exclude remedies for duplicate or unauthorised charges, deficient service, misleading descriptions, or other legally protected claims. Contact support with the transaction reference so we can investigate and help with the correct refund route.
If we discontinue a paid feature or permanently lose the ability to provide it to your linked institution, we will offer a proportionate refund for unused prepaid access to that feature, subject to any greater legal entitlement. We will stop future billing that we control and help you cancel store-managed renewal. For store transactions, we will cooperate with the store's refund process; a referral to a provider does not remove our own obligations.
The Subscription Terms provide further purchase details. No purchase term or store process reduces a remedy that the law requires us to provide.
10. Privacy and records
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Accepting these Terms is not blanket consent for all personal-data uses. Separate notices, choices, and permissions apply where required. The institution's independent records and transport responsibilities are distinct from the information Workbees holds.
You and your institution retain your rights in the information you provide. You permit us to process it only as necessary to deliver and protect the service, meet lawful obligations, and carry out the permitted purposes described in the Privacy Policy and applicable institution agreement. This does not transfer ownership of personal data to Workbees.
Account deletion can be requested through Menu > Account > Delete account or navigster.com/delete-account. Verification, completion periods, justified retention, and backup expiry are explained in the Privacy Policy. Account closure does not erase another person's independent account or automatically delete records held by the institution outside Navigster.
11. Acceptable use
Use Navigster for authorised transport purposes. You must not:
- Impersonate another person, claim an unauthorised guardian relationship, or access another institution's records.
- Falsify GPS, trip events, breakdown reports, boarding responses, or account information.
- Bypass QR verification, access controls, suspension, subscription checks, or other security measures.
- Scrape or publish live routes, child details, private contact information, or account credentials without lawful authority.
- Introduce malware, overload the service, interfere with other users, harass people, or use the platform for unlawful activity.
- Sell unauthorised access or reproduce the software commercially without permission, except where applicable law allows the activity.
Report a suspected security issue through support, share only what is needed to explain it, and avoid accessing other people's information. Nothing in this section restricts lawful complaints, reporting to authorities, or rights that cannot legally be restricted.
12. Software and intellectual property
While your access remains authorised, Workbees grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Navigster for the permitted personal or institutional purpose. Workbees and its licensors retain their rights in the software, brand, interface, and other protected platform material. Rights in institution-provided records remain with their respective holders.
Do not remove ownership notices or use the Navigster or Workbees name to imply an endorsement without permission. Third-party maps, software components, and app distribution may carry additional licence conditions. App-store terms apply to your use of that store and distribution channel; these Terms govern your relationship with Workbees for the service.
13. Availability and service changes
We will provide the platform with reasonable care and skill and take reasonable steps to investigate reported failures. Availability depends in part on devices, operating-system restrictions, GPS, internet access, maps, push-notification services, and the institution's operation of trips. Screen lock, app state, battery controls, or loss of connectivity can interrupt fresh updates. The Privacy Policy describes the permitted collection behaviour.
We may perform maintenance and release updates, and we will give reasonable notice of planned material disruption where practical. Urgent security work may need to happen immediately. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular GPS update interval, or a percentage uptime under these general Terms. A separate signed service-level agreement applies only to the parties and commitments it covers.
External events beyond reasonable control may delay service. We will take reasonable steps to reduce their effect and communicate material disruption. Such an event does not remove an applicable refund, consumer remedy, or obligation for a failure within our control.
14. Suspension and ending access
Workbees may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, security threat, fraud, unlawful use, loss of authorisation, or a legal requirement. We will use a proportionate response and provide the reason and a route to request review, unless doing so is legally prohibited or would compromise an investigation or security. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct a remediable breach. Urgent cases may require immediate action.
An authorised institution administrator can manage institutional access within the role permissions. Suspension of an institution, bus, or driver during an active trip terminates that digital trip and live sharing. Suspension of one parent or student removes that participant's access while the trip continues for others. These actions do not physically stop transport; the institution remains responsible for the journey and direct communication.
You may stop using Navigster, cancel renewal, and request deletion through the available routes. Ending account access and stopping payment are separate actions where a store manages the subscription. If an institution ends its service, its authorised representative must coordinate closure, user notice, and lawful data return or deletion with Workbees.
If we plan to discontinue the standard service, we will normally give at least 30 days' notice and provide a practical transition process. Legal or serious security constraints may require shorter notice. Paid-service remedies under section 9 remain available. Closing an account does not remove obligations or rights that reasonably need to survive closure, including valid payment adjustments, confidentiality, privacy duties, and dispute remedies.
15. Responsibility and liability
We are responsible for loss caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care, as determined under applicable law. Describing the institution's transport responsibilities does not excuse a failure for which Workbees is legally responsible. A third-party dependency does not automatically remove our responsibility for our own integration, selection, or handling of that service.
Workbees is not responsible for an institution's independent transport decision or another person's conduct merely because Navigster was used during the journey. Responsibility depends on the acts, omissions, and duties involved. Users must take reasonable steps to avoid or reduce a loss when they can safely do so.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms do not impose a blanket waiver of claims, a zero-liability rule for free access, or an automatic obligation on a parent to indemnify Workbees for all incidents. Any separate institutional allocation of commercial liability must be expressly agreed and remain consistent with mandatory law.
16. Updates to these Terms
The current version is available at navigster.com/terms, with its effective date. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a material change that adversely affects your contractual rights or paid access, unless law or an urgent security need requires earlier action. We will explain the change through an appropriate account, email, or in-app notice.
Changes apply prospectively. We will obtain fresh acceptance where required and will not treat silence as authorisation for a new charge or materially new personal-data use. If you do not accept a material change, you can stop using the service and cancel future renewal; unused paid access that we cannot continue on the agreed terms is handled under section 9 and applicable law. Existing claims and accrued rights remain unaffected.
17. Complaints and applicable law
For software, account, or billing issues, use navigster.com/support or the contact details below. For a route, driver, pickup, or immediate transport issue, contact the institution. You may still raise a concern directly with Workbees about our part of the service.
We acknowledge consumer complaints within 48 hours and work to resolve them within one month of receipt, or any shorter period required by law. We provide a complaint reference and explain the outcome and available escalation. If a matter remains unresolved, we explain the reason and next steps; this does not extend a statutory deadline. Privacy requests follow the Privacy Policy, with any shorter applicable legal deadline taking priority.
These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes may be brought before the court, tribunal, or consumer commission that has jurisdiction under applicable law. You do not have to use a private arbitration process or complete our support process before exercising a legal right or seeking urgent relief. The National Consumer Helpline is available at consumerhelpline.gov.in where applicable.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent they can lawfully operate. A delay in enforcing a right does not by itself waive that right. Any transfer of the service must preserve applicable user rights and will be communicated where required.
